For those navigating chronic illness alongside full lives.
A peer support community grounded in the reality of living with chronic illness.
What this is
Sabir is a peer support community for adults managing chronic pain and fatigue, with a focus on autoimmune, rheumatic, and connective tissue disorders.
It exists because community of this kind — grounded in the reality of living with chronic illness in India at this age, while managing career, family, friendships, relationships, and identity — is almost nowhere to be found.
The name
One who endures with patience and strength. One who holds firm through sustained difficulty without breaking.
What this space is
A place to be honest about what chronic illness actually involves.
- The medical infrastructure that isn't built for compassion
- Workplaces and institutions that don't accommodate
- People who are supportive until they aren't
- Isolation, and the exhaustion of explaining yourself to those who will not understand
- Unreliable information and endless advice
- The sacrifices you have to make to your life to keep going
You do not need to be at your worst to be here.
You do not need to perform struggle or wellness.
You just need to be in it.
The goal is to build something that holds over the long term — through flares, bad days, weeks, or months, and the parts of this that don't resolve.
