How It Works
How it works
Membership, and what to expect.
Who this is for
Adults navigating illness alongside full lives — work, relationships, identity.
The question here is not which diagnosis you have. It is whether what you live with maps onto what this community is built around: chronic pain, fatigue, and the long work of managing a body that does not cooperate.
Some members have a confirmed diagnosis. Some are still in the middle of finding out. Both are welcome.
How you join
A form, then a conversation.
-
Fill the screening form
It asks about your experience of illness and what you are looking for.
-
Have a conversation
There is no automatic entry. The process exists to keep the group safe and focused for everyone already in it.
-
Hear back directly
If Sabir is not the right fit for you, you will be contacted and informed directly.
Where the community lives
A small, screened WhatsApp community.
How we show up for each other
This community only works if people are genuinely present in it. That does not mean posting every day, but it does mean engaging with some regularity.
There is no requirement to reply to every post. There is an expectation that you are here.
When someone shares something difficult, a response matters more than silence. Be kind by default. Assume good intent unless there is clear reason not to.
What we ask of members
A few things that keep this space safe.
Support, not rescue
You are not expected to be constantly available or to take responsibility for another member's wellbeing. It is okay to step back from conversations that are overwhelming, especially when your own health is difficult to manage.
Be honest, not performative
You do not need to be positive, brave, or grateful. Say what is true for you.
Respect others' experiences without correcting them
Chronic illness presents differently in every body and every life. Sharing your experience is welcome. Prescribing it is not.
No unsolicited medical advice
You can share what you take, what you have tried, what helped. You cannot tell someone what they should do about their health.
Keep what's shared here, here
Do not screenshot, share, or discuss what members have said outside this community without their explicit permission.
No promotion or solicitation
This includes practitioners, products, supplements, MLMs, fundraisers, and personal services.
Members receive the full guidelines on joining.
What this space cannot do
Sabir is peer support. It is not clinical care, and it is not a crisis service.
If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, please contact emergency services or a crisis helpline. The community will support you through difficulty. It cannot replace clinical care.
